  • 21,269 hectares are cultivated with coffee trees.
  • The estimated population is 178,638.
  • Its surface area is 3,181 km².
  • It is made up of three administrative districts: Aileu District, Ermera District and Manatuto District.

14.59% of the country’s total coffee is grown in this region

  • Occupies the 2nd place as a coffee producing region
  • 8,714 hectares are cultivated with coffee trees.
  • The estimated population is 115,328 inhabitants.

  • It is made up of two administrative districts: Manufahi District and Viqueque District.
