  • 452,662 hectares are cultivated with coffee trees.
  • The estimated population is 12.719 million inhabitants.
  • Its surface area is 231,262 km².
  • It is made up of three states: Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas.

Eastern Region

33.85% of the country’s total coffee is grown in this region

  • Ranked 2nd in the world as a coffee producing region
  • 257,653 hectares are cultivated with coffee trees.
  • The estimated population is 18.412 million inhabitants.
  • Its surface area is 130,972 km².
  • It is made up of four states: Puebla, Veracruz, Tlaxcala and Hidalgo.

  • It is made up of four states: Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima and Michocán.

  • It is the 4th largest coffee producing region in the world.
  • 24,053 hectares are cultivated with coffee trees.
  • The estimated population is 14.405 million inhabitants.

  • It is made up of five states: San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Guanajuato, Querétaro and Aguascalientes.

  • It is comprised of four states: Tabasco, Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatán.
