77.82% of the country’s total coffee is cultivated in this region

  • Ranked 1st in the world as a coffee producing region
  • 725,085 hectares are cultivated with coffee trees.
  • The estimated population is 20.656 million inhabitants.
  • Its surface area is 243,426 km².
  • It is made up of eleven departments: Cesar, Santander, Norte de Santander, Boyaca, Cundinamarca, Anquioquia, Caldas, Risaralda, Quindio, Tolima and Huila.

Pacific Region

15.16% of the country’s total coffee is grown in this region

  • Ranked 2nd in the world as a coffee producing region
  • 14,252 hectares are cultivated with coffee trees.
  • The estimated population is 8.105 million inhabitants.
  • Its surface area is 131,301 km².
  • It is made up of four departments: Chocó, Valle del Cauca,Cauca and Nariño.

  • It is made up of six departments: La Guajira, Córdoba, Magdalena, Atlántico, Bolívar and Sucre.

  • It is the 4th largest coffee producing region in the world.

  • It is made up of four departments: Arauca, Casanare, Vichada and Meta.

  • It is made up of six departments: Guainía, Guaviare, Vaupés, Amazonas, Caquetá and Putumayo.
