  • 118,256 hectares are cultivated with coffee trees.
  • The estimated population is 772,143 inhabitants.
  • Its surface area is 9,100 km².
  • It is made up of three departments: Copán, Ocotepeque and Lempira.

West Central Region

28.20% of the country’s total coffee is cultivated in this region

  • Ranked 2nd in the world as a coffee producing region
  • 86,574 hectares are cultivated with coffee trees.
  • The estimated population is 978,068 inhabitants.
  • Its surface area is 10,772 km².
  • It is made up of three departments: Comayagua, Intibucá and La Paz.

  • It is made up of three departments: Francisco Morazán, El Paraíso and Olancho.
