  • Its surface area is 286,612 km².
  • It consists of twelve zones: Arsi Zone, Bale Zone, Borena Zone, Illubador Zone, Yima Zone, West Hararghe Zone, East Hararghe Zone, West Shewa Zone, East Shewa Zone, North Shewa Zone, West Welega Zone and East Welega Zone.

Addis Ababa, Afar, Amhara, Dire Dawa, Somali and Tigray do not grow coffee.
