Guatemala Cruz Grande Cooperative
The Cruz Grande Cooperative has 60 associates who have between 0.5 hectares and 4 hectares of coffee cultivation, who are mainly engaged in coffee growing and in the sowing of other crops such as corn, beans and poultry and livestock projects.
Due to the geographical location and climatic conditions of the cooperative's coffee plantations, the harvest begins in the month of December and ends in April. The beans are selected with an appropriate degree of maturation. The cooperative has its own wet mill, where the producers deliver their ripe beans to be pulped and washed. Some of the producers have their own pulping equipment and take advantage of processing the coffee in their properties, taking into account the adequate time of fermentation and drying in the patios.
