With more than 35 years of experience<\/strong> and a team of 400+ people<\/strong>, Daterra has become a benchmark in Brazilian coffee<\/a><\/strong> for a simple reason: they\u2019ve proven you can produce outstanding coffee while caring for\u2014and improving\u2014the environment that makes it possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Behind the project is Lu\u00eds Norberto Pascoal<\/strong>, founder and president of Daterra Coffee\u2014an entrepreneur who found in coffee the perfect meeting point between exceptional quality<\/strong> and a model that is truly sustainable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Mare Terra Coffee, we\u2019ve worked with Daterra for years because we share the same belief: specialty coffee doesn\u2019t start at the roaster<\/strong>. It starts at origin\u2014in the daily decisions on the farm and in the way people relate to the land, the water, and the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a regenerative project to specialty coffee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Daterra began with a clear intention: to develop a regenerative agriculture<\/strong> project capable of balancing three goals that rarely align:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reality is that climate change<\/strong> and poor agricultural practices have accelerated major challenges: degraded soils, water stress, pests, more extreme temperatures, and less predictability overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Daterra is clear on this point: in today\u2019s context, simply \u201cbeing sustainable\u201d isn\u2019t enough<\/strong> to meet what\u2019s coming. That\u2019s why they decided to go a step further with their own approach:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Bio-Smart: a philosophy that produces coffee and improves the environment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
