{"id":51447,"date":"2022-04-06T17:41:25","date_gmt":"2022-04-06T15:41:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mareterracoffee.com\/visit-the-gastronomic-university-of-pollenzo\/"},"modified":"2025-02-20T16:17:47","modified_gmt":"2025-02-20T15:17:47","slug":"visit-university_gastronomic_university_di_pollenzo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mareterracoffee.com\/en\/blog\/visit-university_gastronomic_university_di_pollenzo\/","title":{"rendered":"Visit of the students of the Universit\u00e0 Gastronomica di Pollenzo"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>We share knowledge<\/h2>\n<p>On 04\/04\/2022 we received in our facilities the<strong>visit of the<\/strong> third year <strong>students<\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unisg.it\/\">Universit\u00e0 Gastronomica di Pollenzo<\/a>, a University created in 2004 by Carlo Petrini, also founder of the Slow Food movement.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.2\"><strong>The University<\/strong> <strong>is<\/strong>, among other things, <strong>the international center for training and research in sustainable agriculture and maintenance of biocultural diversity<\/strong>, with an interdisciplinary approach <strong>combining food science and technology<\/strong> with social, human, biological and agricultural sciences.<\/p>\n<p>The University and Mare Terras Coffee share each of the points mentioned above and have opened our doors to what will become the <strong>protagonists and citizens of the future on our planet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.2\" data-doc-id=\"754975000000259001\" data-doc-type=\"writer\">The 30 students of the 3rd year, from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unisg.it\/\">Universit\u00e0 Gastronomica di Pollenzo<\/a>, accompanied by their teacher Maddalena Relli, came to Barcelona for a study trip.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.2\">Together with our Green Coffee Consultant, Cristiano Antonelli, they were able to visit our facilities and see<strong> first hand what Mare Terra Coffee is really all about<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.2\">The students were very interested in everything that is behind our beloved coffee.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.2\">With the <strong>Universit\u00e0 Gastronomica di Pollenzo<\/strong>, we share philosophy and everything that encompasses the science and technology of food, in our case Coffee. <strong>The university is an integral part of the Slow Food Movement <\/strong>with them we share and are part of a community where we have the responsibility to coordinate the preferences and needs of consumers with the possibilities and capabilities of the Producers, achieving the satisfaction of all.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.2\">During their visit, the students were able to get to know our Institute and laboratory, <strong>ask questions<\/strong> directly to our department directors, and at the same time  <strong>understand how our partnerships with producers work at origin. They finally got to touch the green coffee bean.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.2\">Once they got to know the laboratory, they visited <strong>our warehouse<\/strong>, where the students were able to <strong>really get to know how our logistics are carried out<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This is just the beginning of a collaboration that we will carry forward and repeat later with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unisg.it\/\">Universit\u00e0 Gastronomica di Pollenzo.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are already <strong>organizing<\/strong> the <strong>next visits<\/strong>!<a href=\"https:\/\/es.linkedin.com\/company\/mareterracoffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We welcomed students from the Universit\u00e0 Gastronomica di Pollenzo to share knowledge about coffee, sustainability and our work in the sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":131545,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[147,61],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-51447","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-blog-en","category-mtc-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
