{"id":63689,"date":"2022-06-29T11:33:35","date_gmt":"2022-06-29T09:33:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mareterracoffee.com\/world-of-coffee-2022\/"},"modified":"2025-02-18T13:17:41","modified_gmt":"2025-02-18T12:17:41","slug":"world-of-coffee-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mareterracoffee.com\/en\/blog\/world-of-coffee-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"World of Coffee 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>WOC Summary<\/h1>\n<h3>The most important coffee fair in the world comes to an end in style, reaching record figures.<\/h3>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.4\" data-doc-id=\"1914403000000072001\" data-doc-type=\"writer\">After 3 years of inactivity due to the pandemic, <strong>the World of Coffee has returned to the Italian region of Milan<\/strong> to bring together a large part of the coffee sector in one place. And it did so in style, with a <strong>record attendance of more than 11,000 people<\/strong> from up to <strong>137 different countries<\/strong> over the three days of the event, from June 23 to 25.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.4\">With sold-out tickets and great expectation, WOC Milan opened its doors at the Milan convention center under the organization of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sca.coffee\/\">Specialty Coffee Association (SCA)<\/a> and with the support of host sponsor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bwt-iberica.com\/default.aspx\">BWT<\/a> water+more, as well as <strong>more than 230 volunteers<\/strong> who ensured the smooth running of the event.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, both visitors and exhibitors were able to <strong>enjoy a unique experience for Coffee lovers.<\/strong> and to attend events within the fair such as the <strong>Five World Coffee Championships<\/strong>28 cupping sessions, more than 25 conferences of the Specialty Coffee Association and nine workshops.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.4\" data-doc-id=\"1914403000000072001\" data-doc-type=\"writer\">And, of course,<strong> the Mare Terra Coffee team was also present at the Roasters Village<\/strong> representing our <strong>philosophy of green specialty coffee based on sustainability and traceability<\/strong>. All the people who visited our stand were able to participate in the tournaments and internal challenges that we organized to offer the best possible experience with Mare Terra coffees.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.4\">From cuppings with our best ranges and regions (Terras, Kenya, Ethiopia, El Salvador, etc.), to the Mini Brewers Cup (won by Anne, from <a href=\"https:\/\/kafenaedro.com\/\">Martines Coffee Roasters<\/a>) or our Daterra Beer Party, it has been a pleasure to have received so many people interested in good coffee and we have loved to transmit the importance of traceability, dedication and sustainability in each bean in such a direct, personal and close way.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.4\">Last but not least, we would also like to send a special thanks to our partners in crime who joined us in this experience and made us enjoy WOC Milan even more: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dmitalia.info\">Dim Italia<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daterracoffee.com.br\/?lang=es\">Daterra Coffee<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/maze.bestbrew.de\/es\/\">Best Brew<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eureka.co.it\/en\/default.aspx\">Eureka<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuovasimonelli.it\/it\/home\/\">Nueva Simonelli<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.4\">Thank you very much to all of you who visited our stand and shared with us your <strong>passion for coffee<\/strong>, <strong>there are more and more of us!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-header=\"0\" data-textformat=\"{\" data-margin-bottom=\"0pt\" data-hd-info=\"0\" data-line-height=\"1.4\"><strong>See you next year in Athens \ud83d\ude09<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/es.linkedin.com\/company\/mareterracoffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A summary of the coffee event of the year: World of Coffee 2022 in Milan.
