Mare Terra Coffee
Traveling and working at origin is an experience unlike any other. It is an occasion when our R and D team get their hands dirty with the production and processing of the current harvest, but more importantly it affords us the opportunity to work alongside and share experiences with the local coffee community.
However we are a global coffee community, so we at Mare Terra Coffee think it is important that you, the roasters participate and contribute to this pivotal time in the coffee calendar.
These trips are designed as an opportunity for the roaster to have a direct impact on the communities whose hands are involved in the transformation of the coffee.
While simultaneously providing on the job learning of production and processing, and deeper understanding of the intricacies of the supply chain from the perspective of the origin.
What you can expect
These trips are set up for you the roaster to actively take part in our ongoing collaborations we have going at origin:
- Where you will develop a deeper understanding of the supply chain from the producers and origin’s side
- Visits to both farms and washing stations to collaborate with the local teams
- Build on your existing knowledge of processing, with hands on and practical application
- Actively contribute with our expanding social programs we have established at various origins
- Build relationships that strengthen our global coffee community
