Las Brisas Farm is located in the coffee region of Nueva Segovia, specifically in the Mozonte district, in the community of Los Arados. Hugo Núñez, its owner, bought the Farm in 2012.
The name“Las Brisas” is due to the fact that the Farm is located more than 1,450 meters above sea level, which generates a constant breeze in the area.
The Farm has an area of 12 manzanas ( equivalent to 8.45 hectares), where two varieties of Coffee are grown: Red Catuaí and Yellow Catuaí. Cultivation is carried out in a sustainable manner, respecting the natural habitats of the local fauna and protecting the surrounding water sources and flora. To provide shade for the coffee trees, native forest Species, mosses and fruit trees are planted.
Coffee is harvested by hand and only ripe beans are selected. Hugo oversees every stage of the process, from Harvest to bagging the coffee. Passionate about Coffee growing, he likes to innovate, learn new Cultivation techniques and apply them to improve the quality of his coffee lots.
