Sanjunero is produced by a cooperative in the coffee-growing region of Huila. After being harvested, it undergoes a decaffeination process in a decaffeination plant located in the coffee-growing region of Colombia. This company has more than 30 years of experience and only works with Colombian Arabica coffees. Their process for decaffeinating coffee is natural, they use AE – ethylene acetate – extracted from sugar cane, which is also naturally present in fruits and vegetables, they do not use chemical solvents, after undergoing the process the coffees are 99.9% caffeine free.
