In the mountains of Dipilto, in the north of Nicaragua, Martha Abir, together with her sister Ana María, leads the transformation of Farm Bethania into a specialty coffee company. Between tradition, biodiversity and innovative processes, their coffees stand out for their sweetness, cleanliness and chocolate notes. During our visit to Nicaragua in the spring of 2023, we took a decisive step in the development of the Coffee Heritage project. We strengthened collaboration with local Producers, worked on improving quality processes and began a series of educational meetings with young people from the Ocotal Technology Center. This experience reaffirms our commitment to sustainability, training and the future of coffee growing.
